Pengaruh Konsumsi Fast Food Terhadap Peningkatan Risiko Obesitas Pada Remaja Usia 15–18 Tahun

Abstract

ABSTRACT

High fast food consumption among adolescents is a major risk factor for obesity. Unhealthy dietary patterns rich in fat, sugar, and calories can lead to energy imbalance. This study aims to analyze the effect of fast food consumption on obesity risk among adolescents aged 15–18 years. A quantitative cross-sectional design was used involving 120 respondents. Data were collected through food frequency questionnaires and body mass index (BMI) measurements. Data analysis used chi-square and logistic regression. The results showed that adolescents with high fast food consumption had a higher risk of obesity (OR=3.9; p<0.05). It is concluded that fast food consumption significantly influences obesity risk among adolescents.

ABSTRAK

Konsumsi fast food yang tinggi pada remaja menjadi salah satu faktor risiko utama terjadinya obesitas. Pola makan tidak sehat yang kaya lemak, gula, dan kalori dapat menyebabkan ketidakseimbangan energi dalam tubuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh konsumsi fast food terhadap peningkatan risiko obesitas pada remaja usia 15–18 tahun. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional terhadap 120 responden. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner frekuensi konsumsi fast food dan pengukuran indeks massa tubuh (IMT). Analisis data menggunakan uji chi-square dan regresi logistik. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa remaja dengan konsumsi fast food tinggi memiliki risiko obesitas lebih besar (OR=3,9; p<0,05). Disimpulkan bahwa konsumsi fast food berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan risiko obesitas pada remaja.
