Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Melalui Edukasi Epidemiologi Untuk Deteksi Dini Penyakit Menular

ABSTRACT
Communicable diseases remain a major public health concern, particularly in terms of prevention and early detection. Limited community knowledge regarding basic epidemiology is one of the factors that hinders early detection efforts.
This community service program aimed to improve community knowledge and awareness of epidemiological concepts and the importance of early detection of communicable diseases. The methods included health education, interactive discussions, and evaluation through pre-test and post-test.
The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge after the educational intervention. This program proved effective in enhancing community preparedness to recognize early symptoms of communicable diseases and take appropriate preventive measures.

ABSTRAK
Penyakit menular masih menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang memerlukan perhatian serius, terutama dalam upaya pencegahan dan deteksi dini. Kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai epidemiologi dasar menjadi salah satu faktor yang menghambat deteksi dini penyakit menular.
Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat tentang konsep epidemiologi serta pentingnya deteksi dini penyakit menular. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyuluhan, diskusi interaktif, dan evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test.
Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat secara signifikan setelah diberikan edukasi. Program ini efektif dalam meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan masyarakat dalam mengenali gejala awal penyakit menular serta mengambil langkah pencegahan yang Tepat.
