Peningkatan Kesadaran Ibu Hamil Tentang Pentingnya Asupan Protein Dan Vitamin Melalui Penyuluhan Gizi

ABSTRACT
Meeting nutritional needs during pregnancy is crucial for supporting fetal growth and development and maintaining maternal health. Protein and vitamins are essential nutrients that play a role in the formation of fetal tissue, boosting the immune system, and preventing various pregnancy complications. However, many pregnant women still have limited knowledge about the importance of protein and vitamin intake during pregnancy. This community service activity aims to increase pregnant women's knowledge and awareness of the importance of protein and vitamin intake through nutrition education. Implementation methods included health education, interactive discussions, distribution of educational brochures, and pre- and post-activity knowledge evaluations. The results of the activity showed an increase in pregnant women's knowledge about protein and vitamin sources and their benefits for maternal and fetal health. Nutrition education has proven effective in raising pregnant women's awareness of the importance of adequate nutrition during pregnancy. This activity is expected to help improve the nutritional status of pregnant women and prevent various health problems during pregnancy.

ABSTRAK
Pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi selama kehamilan sangat penting untuk mendukung pertumbuhan dan perkembangan janin serta menjaga kesehatan ibu. Protein dan vitamin merupakan zat gizi penting yang berperan dalam pembentukan jaringan tubuh janin, meningkatkan sistem imun, serta mencegah berbagai komplikasi kehamilan. Namun, masih banyak ibu hamil yang memiliki pengetahuan terbatas mengenai pentingnya asupan protein dan vitamin selama masa kehamilan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran ibu hamil mengenai pentingnya asupan protein dan vitamin melalui penyuluhan gizi. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi penyuluhan kesehatan, diskusi interaktif, pembagian brosur edukasi, serta evaluasi pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan ibu hamil mengenai sumber protein dan vitamin serta manfaatnya bagi kesehatan ibu dan janin. Penyuluhan gizi terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran ibu hamil terhadap pentingnya pemenuhan gizi selama masa kehamilan. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat membantu meningkatkan status gizi ibu hamil dan mencegah berbagai masalah kesehatan selama kehamilan.
